The Evolution 2 from Wharfedale is the successor to the acclaimed Pacific Evolution loudspeaker. Evolution 2 continues to reinforce our aim of introducing components, materials and production methods that are normally reserved for high end loudspeakers; and producing speakers that are not only affordable and practical, but have a great deal of value for money.
Advanced production
Most of the upgrades for the Evolution 2 series have been made internally, through the use of advance production techniques, better quality of materials and components. But it is the attention to detail that makes this series of speaker so desirable.
Internal upgrades
The Drivers and tweeter have been re-engineered to become much more responsive and dynamic. A die-cast low-profile chassis is now used on all the drivers making them more rigid and reducing mid-range distortion. A new tweeter utilising a high-temperature aluminium voice coil, thermally coupled to an integrated heat-sink, increases the high frequency response beyond 30kHz with superb control and class leading clarity and detail.
Classic looks
Aesthetically the speaker remains similar to the previous Evolution, smooth lines and a modern style allow the speakers to cater the tastes of today?s hi-fi enthusiast, and gives a performance with both film and music that is a rare find.
