Now, with availability of new simiconductor releases, the high
bandwidth SES CAT 5-video interface cable converter is
capable of reproducing HDTV component video by using
Cat 5 with lengths to 500'.
The introduction of this system offers installers and end
users the ability to link an HDTV Display source in locations
to any HDTV Component source without the labor associated
with bulky and expensive coax cable. Now, by just using the
standard Category 5 network cable, users can use up to 500
feet of cable to connect High Definition Component Video
source material to 1080p.
The process is accomplished by taking HD Quality
Component Video, importing it into an analog Cat 5 balanced
line transmitter with unique features of bandwidth and
impedance matching for long hauls over Cat 5 cable.
A separate analog balanced line receiver is used on the
opposite end of the system to restore the video back to
standard NTSC, Pal and Component HDTV.
Stereo audio can also be transmitted when in Composite
mode by using the remaining two I/O ports.
