Yes, the classic award winning amplifier design of the original Adcom GFA-555mkII has been reborn. Externally, the chassis footprint an front panel design are identical to the original. Internally, all circuitry has been upgraded to modern requirements using UL approved FR-4 printed circuit boards. High performance component selections include ultra low ESR electrolytic capacitors. The result of these improvements is lower distortion, better dynamic range, improved damping factor, greater stability and separation of individual instruments on the soundstage.
The Adcom GFA-555se offers the convenience of offering both Balanced XLR and Unbalanced RCA style inputs with the flexibility of being able to bridge the amplifier; morphing the GFA-555se from a high-power, high-performance stereo amplifier to a monoblock behemoth!
